ABC Evening Team

Ron Magers, alongside Kathy Brock, co-anchors this #1 rated and most watched newscast in Chicago, the ABC 7 News at 10:00 p.m. He also co-anchors the News at 5 p.m., alongside Cheryl Burton, which is the top rated newscast in its time period. Well-known and widely respected across the nation for his live coverage and reporting, Magers joined ABC 7 Chicago in 1998.

Besides co-anchoring the 5 p.m. with Ron Magers, Chicago native Cheryl Burton is a contributing anchor of ABC 7's 10 p.m. newscast. Burton has received many honors for her work including several Emmy Awards. 

Kathy Brock has co-anchored the 10 p.m. newscast since 2003.  She has been honored with two Chicago Emmy Awards; and two other prestigious national awards: the Edward R. Morrow Award (Radio-Television News Directors Association), and the IRIS Award  (National Association of Television Program Executives).

The other members of the ABC& Evening News Team are Sports Director Mark Giangreco and Weather Anchor Jerry Taft.
