Daniel Descalso is an American professional infielder with the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball. Daniel is a Bay Area native, born in Redwood City and graduated from Saint Francis High School. After playing baseball for UC Davis he was drafted to play for the Saint Louis Cardinals. Since 2007 Descalso's career has been on the rise. Last year Descalso hit his first major league home run and it was the game-winner in a 3-run blast that vaulted the Cardinals to a come-from-behind 7–5 win against the Marlins.
