Bobbins and Threads is a sewing school by Heather Taylor for children ages 8 and up. Students learn the many techniques and concepts of machine sewing in simple, fun and inspiring ways in a real workroom in Burlington, CT using the Kids Can Sew patterns. Children and teens learn the correct use of a machine with the many applications of stitches, tools and techniques, as well as hand sewing. Students learn the basics of pattern layout, how to read and follow instructions, how to problem solve and to apply their own ideas into each fashionable project they create.
Machines, patterns, and some fabrics are supplied. Projects include shirts, pants, sleepwear, dresses, bags, crafts and SEW much more. Once a student learns the basics there is no limit to what they can create.
