Description

MacCALLUM HOUSE Inn and Restaurant

Luxury accommodations an Fine Dining in the Heart of Mendocino Village

The original MacCallum House, built in 1882 by William Kelley, was a wedding gift to his daughter Daisy MacCallum. This historic landmark is surrounded by lush gardens, expansive lawns and quaint outbuildings that have been converted to charming, updated inn rooms.

An easy stroll from all of our properties brings you to the pristine beaches, art galleries, live theater, shops, restaurants and rugged ocean cliffs. The MacCallum House warmly welcomes travelers with children and pets.

Spread over two acres, our diverse selection of rooms on the main property offers a romantic and peaceful environment to relax and enjoy Mendocino.

Inside the MAIN HOUSE are six rooms, each furnished with antiques. Several include claw foot soaking tubs, sleigh beds and ocean views.

Seven COTTAGES surround the main house, each with unique charm. Many include private yards with hot tubs.

The BARN features beautifully restored rooms, some with river stone fireplaces, decks and ocean views. Several rooms have hot tubs and saunas.

The rooms in the luxurious MACCALLUM SUITES, four blocks from the Main House, have gas fireplaces, jetted-spa tubs, ocean views and private decks with hot tubs. Seven of the pet-friendly rooms were remodeled in early 2011. Each room now features a 50-inch, flat-screen television, a Kurig coffee maker, an IHome docking station and a luxurious marble and limestone bathroom. The Suites also have a conference room and commercial kitchen that are perfect for small events and meetings.

Celebrated Executive Chef Alan Kantor showcases North Coast wines, seafood, meats and produce with an emphasis on organics and quality purveyors.

"Absolutely everything we serve is prepared in our own kitchen, including breads, hand-rolled pastas, and smoked meat, fish and poultry. We use only the freshest, seasonal ingredients and feature local and regional organic and wild-crafted products whenever possible."

-Executive Chef Alan Kantor

The warm and inviting MacCallum House Restaurant and Bar serves beautiful North Coast cuisine. The sunny cafe and bar feature casual, hearty fare, while the romantic, fire-lit dining rooms offer a fine-dining atmosphere. Combining the town's charm, history, local life and favors, the Mac House is a great starting point for getting to know Mendocino.
