About Netop (pronounced Nee-tope):

Netop is located in Maine’s Sebago Lake Region, less than an hour outside of Portland. Established in 1955, the camp surrounds secluded Birch Pond on a beautiful rustic 100-acre property at the base of 1035 foot Rattlesnake Mountain. With about 100 campers from the U.S. and Europe, Netop’s small community creates a unique atmosphere of fun and friendship. Indeed, the word “Netop” (pronounced nee-tope) derives from a Native American term that means “friend”.

Camp presents endless opportunities for kids to grow and build skills. Whether it’s learning to get along with others, thinking and problem solving independently or developing a more positive self concept, campers at Netop experience tremendous growth. Our aim is to provide an enriching and fun experience that helps each camper develop important life skills. Click here to learn about our experienced staff.

Parents

Netop encourages not only lifelong friendships and memories, but lasting values. Its “one camp” social atmosphere, daily activities and adventure trips, carefully selected staff, comfortable platform tents, outstanding athletic facilities, stunning private waterfront and historic Lodge all contribute to a program and environment that meshes perfectly with Netop’s “four spokes” philosophy.

Health and safety are our top concerns for campers at Netop. As an accredited camp by the American Camp Association, Netop follows rigorous standards for all aspects of health care. The Health Center is staffed by a resident nurse and doctors are on-call and available as needed. Medical centers are located in nearby Bridgton and Portland, Maine.

Morning Activities

Each morning, campers participate in three 1-hour activity periods of their choosing. Campers receive high quality instruction from counselors, from beginner level to expert. Every four days, campers sign up for a new round of activity choices.
