The winning bidder will receive two weeks of The Rivers School Day Camp for the price of one (value of $530). Winning bidder will be reponsible for the remining week. This is good for the weeks of June 24, 2013- July 5, 2013 (no camp on July 4th).  Point to point transportation from Brookline included. Devotion teacher, Liz Gelotte, is a teacher at this camp.


Hot lunch and snack included.


* No camper currently at Rivers Day Camp for this up-coming season can exchange his or her enrollement tuition for this auctioned item, but it can be used to add two weeks to the current season.


About Rivers Day Camp:


Situated on the 45-acre campus of The Rivers School in Weston, which features Nonesuch Pond, a 57-acre spring-fed great pond, the Rivers Day Camp offers healthy, fun, and creative activities that contribute to the all-around development children while occupying and entertaining their eager hands, minds, and bodies. The structure of organized activities provides a ready-made environment for making friends and having fun.


In addition to the playing fields and Nonesuch Pond, campers use The Rivers School’s art rooms, athletic field house, woodworking shop, biology lab, and music rooms. Activities for all campers include:



Archery; Arts & Crafts; Basketball; Bat Ball; Canoeing; Capture the Flag; Fishing ; GaGa Ball; Gym Ball; Hip-Hop; Kayaking; Kickball; Kitchen Chemistry; Lawn Games; Music; Nature Camp Crafts; Nerf Football; Newcomb; Pillo-Polo;Sailing; Soccer; Softball; Swimming (Red Cross Certified); Tennis; Track; Ultimate Frisbee; Volleyball; Whiffleball; Woodshop.

 

The Rivers Day Camp Facilities:


MacDowell Athletic Center - Built in 2003, this state-of-the-art center houses a 70 x 40 yard indoor synthetic field and Benson Gymnasium (for basketball) as well as “home base” for our boys’ camp.



Lewis Math & Science Center - Our campers use the science building as part of their nature programs. The labs are equipped with all necessary materials needed to study ecology and nature-related topics.



Nonesuch Pond - Our 52-acre, spring-fed great pond is our waterfront for swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and nature exploration. Nonesuch Pond undergoes regular testing for cleanliness and health safety.



Playing Fields - The camp sits on 12+ acres of exceptional playing fields that includes Waterman Field, a 54,000-square foot multi-sport synthetic turf field, as well as six outdoor tennis courts. Our campers have plenty of outdoor and indoor area for all their sporting fun.

 

The Haffenreffer Building - Along with housing a full size basketball court, this building hosts our arts classrooms and woodworking center, as well as “home base” for our girls’ camp.



Haynes Hall - Our campers use this building for our arts and crafts, ceramics, hip-hop, and music programs.

CHECKS TO BE MADE OUT TO DEVOTION SCHOOL AND MAILED TO CINDY TUNGATE, DEVOTION SCHOOL SPRING CARNIVALE, 345 HARVARD STREET, BROOKLINE, MA 02446 (OR DROPPED IN HER MAILBOX AT SCHOOL).


All winning bidders will be charged a transaction fee of 5%, not to exceed $20 per item, to cover a portion of the auction transaction fees. We thank you for helping with this and supporting the school.
