Description

"The Robbins Hunter Museum at the Avery Downer House in Granville, Ohio is one of the most prominent residential examples of American Greek Revival architecture. It is a treasure for the village of Granville, the state of Ohio, and the nation.  Built in 1842 by successful businessman Alfred Avery, it has been a centerpiece of Granville life.  It began as a home, became a fraternity house, and is now a museum housing a fine collection of American decorative arts collected by Robbins Hunter and left to the people of Licking County, Ohio.  Meticulously restored to its 19th century elegance, the building is home to educational and entertainment opportunities for the enrichment of Granville and surrounding communities."

Join the Robbins Hunter Museum in December 2013 for the "Victorian Christmas Tea."
