At 4½" x 6¼" these cards are bigger than the standard note card, so you have more room for writing and you get a larger image on the card – looks great framed in a standard 8” x 10” frame with a white mat. (To get the best look, have the mat cut with 1/8" of the white showing from card border.)

Red Star in Leaves

This red star hen was pecking in the decomposing leaves but looked up over her back when one of her fellow hens made a ruckus. This type of chicken is also called a red sex link and is a mixed breed that is a cross between a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire Red rooster and a white hen like a Leghorn or a Delaware. When the chicks hatch, the males are white and the females are buff or red. Lots of city ordinances don't allow roosters so being able to sex the chicks so easily is very helpful.
