Actress and acting coach Katie O'Grady helps kids & teens learn various acting techniques, audition skills, and experience all aspects of the business. Classes also participate in tours of production offices, casting offices, and working sets as well as quarterly showcases for agents, directors, and casting directors in the community. The studio is located in inner SE Portland.

Katie O’Grady works in both Portland and LA. Her production company, Alcove Productions, LLC, teamed up alongside filmmaker/director James Westby (The Auteur, Film Geek) and produced RID OF ME (a black comedy), HOT IN THE ZIPPER (a 1940’s screwball comedy), Oracle’s video WAKE, Storm Large’s music video 8 MILES WIDE, and BULLY’D: a documentary/narrative about teen bullying. She has 2 new projects in development with James Westby.

Over the last few years Katie has filmed with Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn, Justin Long, Diane Lane, and Tommy Lee Jones. She recently guest starred on several episodes of LEVERAGE (TNT) as Amy Nevins. Katie can be seen on numerous National commercials; including M&M, Nintendo Wii, Clorox, and Nike. One of her dreams has always been to be a part of Saturday Night Live. This past year Katie got the opportunity to shoot with the talented Fred Armisen (SNL), in the pilot PORTLANDIA: PUT A BIRD ON IT episode. The show was produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels and currently featured on IFC.

Katie’s favorite project is working with the kids and teens she coaches in her acting for kids classes.
