Description
Twin Cities Youth Rowing (TCYR) is organized for the sole purpose of educating young men and young women 18 years old and younger in the sport of rowing in an organized, challenging, competitive, and safe rowing environment. Learn To Row (L2R) sessions are held in the Summer and Fall for those that have an interest in rowing. Participants get a true understanding for what rowing is all about, hear directly from our experienced coaching staff and view/touch/row “racing” boats.
The on-water training site for Twin Cities Youth Rowing is Bryant Lake Regional Park in Eden Prairie.
Learn-2-Row Crew Clinic from Twin Cities Youth Rowing:
Ages 12-18 (+ High School Seniors up to 19)
What's a coxswain? What is sweep rowing versus sculling? Why is teamwork so vital when rowing crew? Learn-2-Row with Minnesota's ONLY youth-focused rowing club, Twin Cities Youth Rowing! Join kids from all over the metro area in rowing one of the fastest human-powered watercraft in the world!
Clinics are designed to give the the young rower a solid footing in the fundamentals of this Olympic sport. Four-/eight-crew sweep rowing requires teamwork, uses every major muscle group, builds endurance, and instills confidence in your ability to push yourself and your fellow crew-mates.
Experienced coaches educate boys and girls in the sport of sweep rowing in an organized, challenging, competitive, and safe environment. They will view, touch, and row (weather permitting) racing boats/shells used in this Ivy League sport! Each 3-hour session includes:
