In 2011, the Arizona legislature passed a bill that outlawed TUSD Mexican American studies classes. In an attempt to comply with the law, TUSD officials banned several books. This set of eight hand -made, double-sided trading cards commemorates that act. Six of the cards represent one of the banned books; one special card depicts one of enlightened individuals most responsible for the ban, and one card highlights an author whose work was banned.
