Description

Certificate for 4 guests to tour the Clarke House & Glessner House Museums during regular tour hours, Thursdays-Sundays (Clark at noon or 2:00 p.m., Glessner at 1:00 or 3:00 p.m.). Built in 1886, Glessner House is a National Historic Landmark and Clarke House (1836) is the City's oldest surviving building located in the adjacent Chicago Women's Park and Gardens. Glessner House was designed by noted American architect Henry Hobson Richardson. It remains an internationally-known architectural treasure in Chicago. A radical departure from traditional Victorian architecture, the structure served as an inspiration to the young Frank Lloyd Wright and helped redefine domestic architecture.
