Wise Buys is a dream come true for me, owner Tanya Combs. I have wanted to own and run a women's resale clothing store again for a long time.  (Some of you may remember that I had owned and run the Windfall Consignment store.) Many years ago my husband and I bought the land with a plan in mind. Each year we would do a little something on the land to be working toward the final outcome. In March of 2008 we said: "let's just do it".

With the help of The Women's Small Business Project at Trinity College, I wrote a business plan. Byers Construction helped us get through all the rules of building and Able Paint and Glass installed the windows right on time! Working with Opportunities Credit Union was awesome because they are great people who want small businesses to succeed!  They make starting a new endeavor possible.

Once I had the funds, it all went very fast. I called Wilford King Paving for the parking lot to be put in and while that went in, I worked on getting the inside of the store set up to go.
