Description
Summer Music Academy is an exciting way to experience music. Beginning students can learn to play an instrument for the first time, and advanced students can further their music studies while making new friends with musicians from across Sonoma County. Professional musicians lead Workshops teaching beginning to advanced techniques on specific instruments. Ensembles, led by Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Ensemble conductors and music coaches, provide experience playing with a group that prepares students to participate in orchestras, symphonic bands and jazz ensembles. Additional classes, such as Music Appreciation, Music Theory and Composition are also offered to enhance players' understanding and enjoyment of music.
