“Aladdin and the Magic Lamp” takes place in an ancient Arabian city as an evil magician has discovered the location of a secret magic lamp. In order to obtain the lamp for himself, he must trick someone else into entering the hidden cave since any magician who enters it will die.

This exciting story performed by The Gerwick Puppets, confronts children with the matter of good versus evil, a standard theme of fairy tales. The children are encouraged to give their advice and opinions as Aladdin tries to defeat the evil magician.

There are nine different characters, hand painted scenery and many interesting props. The show is accompanied by recorded classical music and special lighting effects. It is intended for children five and up and is also enjoyed by adults.
