Up, Up, and Away! On Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. Carr and two (2) of her students will soar up to 400 feet above the surrounding landscape in the Great Park Balloon, enjoying a bird's eye view of the retired air stations transformation into the first great metropolitan park of the 21st century. The Great Park Balloon is the first major attraction of the Orange County Great Park, a 1,347 acre public space on the site of the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. A movie at the Irvine Spectrum will follow to bring everyone back down to earth. Parents are responsible for transportation to the Great Park and must wait during the 15-minute balloon ride. Parents are then responsible for transport of the student to and from the Irvine Spectrum.
