Climb aboard for a day out at sea! Four (4) 4 th graders will join Mrs. King for an afternoon sail and picnic lunch aboard a 40-foot sailboat. Mr. King will be the captain for this adventure. Mrs. King and her family are very active in the local sailing and racing scene in Southern California. They'll cruise Long Beach Harbor and, if weather permits, see lively groups of sea mammals. All sailors will get an opportunity to heave-ho sails up, pull lines and even try their hand at the helm! This adventure will begin when they are dropped off at 11:00 a.m. at Alamitos Bay Marina, gangway 12, slip 204B where the good ship TOPA, a Beneteau First 38, is located. This seafaring adventure comes to an end at 2:00 p.m. when the children will be picked up at the point of departure. Event is scheduled for Sunday, April 21 , but may need to change to a mutually acceptable date, depending on weather.
