Headmaster for the day Mr. Zurns way! Experience the world of running a school- a busy day of scheduled meetings, deadlines, problem solving, and catered lunches...

WHAT? Well just like running any business, as Head for the Day, you will be presented with a full docket of face to face meetings with people who are looking for answers. The experience begins with an internship discussion several days before the event. Mr. Zurn will walk you through the challenges of running a school and prepare you for a grueling round of meetings with a dozen employees- from teachers and administrators to parents and staff members, each of whom will be asking for your advice on how to solve problems. You will be prepared to help lead the schools morning Flag Salute and choose a book to read to our kindergarteners. You will talk about teaching, learning, communicating and inspiring; you will be asked to make recommendations on a number of school program, facilities, and financial matters. At the end of the day, you will be asked to communicate with your constituencies by writing a short article, My Life as Headmaster for the Day, for a school publication. And yes, the day ends with a special catered lunch presented by the schools very own Jackie Humble. You and two (2) classmates of your choice will have a one-of-a-kind meal with Mr. Zurn to talk about the joys and challenges of running a school. Everyone has a chance to lead Pegasus!
