The title of the painting is : The little boy of the boat. I like that title because it sounds to me like the beginning of a novel or a children's story. Yes, it is in Portuguese. This painting was made on my second trip to Brasil and was inspired after I went sailing off the coast of rio de janeiro. Brasil holds a big place in my heart and its only because of Rotary! I went on a Rotary Youth Exchange to Brasil 2003-2004.

This oil painting is from a young woman who was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe.  She was working recently at the restaurant on the pier behind the former Timber Cove Lodge.  This painting was on the wall of that restaurant when she was a waitress there.  She recently moved to Berlin to focus more on her oil painting.
