This striking depiction of the Fleur de Lis atop the French flag was created by an 8^th grade artist at the Waldorf School of the Peninsula with the French aristocracy in mind.

The fleur-de-lis is a symbol of French monarchs, often appearing on the royal coat of arms as a symbol of purity.  It was painted using oil pastels on watercolor paper.
