Description

Ralph Waldo Emerson handcrafted pen.

This classic Americana style historic wood pen features a premium Swiss-made Parker style ballpoint refill with carbide writing tip for consistent ink flow.  The wood for this handcrafted pen comes with permission from a 350 year old white oak that still stands on the bank of the Concord River behind the Old Manse in Concord MA.  Emerson could gaze at that white oak from the second floor study where he wrote “Nature” in 1834.  He was the center of a remarkable group of Transcendentalists and writers who inspired a New England Renaissance.
