Mr. Thomson has been hailed as the “greatest living film critic.” His recently released books Have You Seen...?: A Personal Introduction to 1,000 Films (2008) and the 5^th edition of The New Biographical Dictionary of Film are considered essential references for all serious movie buffs. David will show clips of Ms. Riva’s acclaimed roles in Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) and Amour (2012) and, through the lens of her remarkable career, consider the life of an actress and the passage of time.
