Description

Meet Urban Marine Biology teacher, Sarah Clowes, in Half Moon Bay for a guided tour of the tidepools.  Sara will meet your small group (approximately six people) in the Pigeon Point parking lot, with coffee and snacks.  Then walk out to the tidepools (about a half mile walk) and Sarah will introduce you to a wide variety of organisms that make their living along the rocky shore.  Sarah will help you see organisms you've never noticed before and will share her knowledge about one of the most unique habitats in the world.

Special Instructions

Please wear comfortable shoes that can get sandy on the beach and wet in the water.  Also wear layers - you never know what the weather will be like along the coast.  It can get quite cold!

We'll work out the exact date and time together, but times are dictated by tide schedules and weather conditions.  Possible dates include: May 4 11:30am, June 1 10am, October 5 4pm, October 19 4pm.
