Pasta Making Master Class with Ryan Karpf

Item Number: 244
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
From Ryan Karpf: In 2011 I became obssessed with learning how to make fresh pasta. Since then I have been making fresh pasta for Devon (7th grade), Nico (4th grade) and (wife) Gigi almost every Sunday. Sometimes the boys and I do it together, sometimes with friends. We always have fun and it is always delicious!
For your consideration are twelve (12) open slots to come learn the basics of making pasta. Linguini, Cavatelli, Gnocchi, Corezzeti--we will try them all and everyone will have fresh pasta to take home. Graciously hosted by Martha Ehmann Conte at her beautiful home, we will learn:
i) The importance of good ingredients, the different flours available and where to source them in San Francisco.
ii) How to make a basic pasta dough
iii) How to use a pasta roller to sheet and cut pasta
iv) How to make cool shapes like Gnocchi, Cavatelli, Corzetti and Nico's favorite, Squigllini™
v) How to cook and keep fresh pasta
We will hold a raffle and the winner will recieve their own Marcato pasta rolling machine and the book Making Artisan Pata by Aliza Green which was the first thing I used to start my journey.
I look forward to sharing my passion and hopefully making it yours!
