The Allegany Nature Pilgrimage Committee is offering a family registration for a nature weekend filled with events and activities, held at Allegany State Park. The 2013 event will be May 31 - June 2. The registration is valued at $100. The weekend consists of bird walks - beginning and advanced, bird-banding, owl prowls, field trips and programs on insects, wildflowers, wilderness survival, geology, the night sky and more! Go on a creek walk, salamander hike, or beaver walk! This weekend is the 55th annual Allegany Nature Pilgrimage and is a weekend of excitement and fun for all ages! This event is sponsored by the Buffalo, Jamestown, and Erie Audubon Societies and the Burroughs Audubon Nature Club of Rochester. For lodging the bidding winner must set up accommodations through Allegany State Park at their website www.reserveamerica.com or call 1-800-456-CAMP.
