About Landon Donovan

Landon Donovan is an American soccer player and the captain of the Los Angeles Galaxy. For the United States national team, Donovan is the all-time leader in scoring and assists, and has the most caps of all active players. Donovan is the highest scoring American player in World Cup history and a six-time winner of the Honda Player of the Year award. He is a four-time winner of the U.S. Soccer Player of The Year award (the only male to do so and the only male to win in consecutive years), as well as the only winner of the Honda Player of The Year award, having won it seven times. Donovan`s playoff goals make him MLS all-time leading scorer in the playoffs.

In 2011 Landon led the Los Angeles Galaxy to win the MLS CUP. He scored the title-clinching goal in the 72nd minute over the Houston Dynamo, securing his 4th MLS Cup title and was named the MLS Cup MVP.

In 2012 MLS Cup finals, a rematch with Houston, Donovan converted a penalty kick in the 65th minute of play to give LA a 2-1 lead. The goal was Donovan`s fifth in MLS Cup Finals. The Galaxy went on to win their second straight MLS Cup and Landon`s 5th MLS Cup.

Landon started to play soccer when he was 5 years old. He scored seven goals in his first game. He is the official endorser of the Wild Soccer Bunch since 2010.

About The Wild Soccer Bunch

The Wild Soccer Bunch was created by a father who coached his sons’ soccer team and was inspired to write a book about his experience. Joachim Masannek blended true stories with his own childhood memories. His storytelling is fast paced and cinematic, and the stories are told from a child’s point of view, as if the writer’s voice morphed into the hero’s in each book.

The series has 13 books to date, and each book is narrated by a different kid on the team. The sensational international success of the books has translated into a full-fledged brand including five live action motion pictures and an animated series. About The Author – Joachim Masannek

Joachim Masannek was born in 1960 and studied Philosophy and German in college. He also studied at the University of Film and Television and worked as a camera operator, set designer, screenwriter, and director.

Masannek’s children’s book series, The Wild Soccer Bunch, has been published in more than 30 countries. As the screenwriter and director of the Wild Soccer Bunch movies, Joachim has managed to bring about 9 million viewers to the theatres. He was the coach of the real Wild Soccer team and the father of two of the players.
       
About The Illustrator – Jan Birck

Jan Birck began his career as a freelance illustrator in an
atelier in Munich, working for advertising agencies. During this time, he and his wife launched Dreamotion Media, a company that develops books, films, and DVDs. Birck has earned his reputation as one of the world's finest illustrators of children's books, with drawings that have appeared in hundreds of publications. He presently lives in Munich with his wife and sons.
