Ferguson "Fergie" Jenkins, Jr., pitcher for the Chicago Cubs from 1966 to 1973 and 1982-1983, was the first Canadian to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. A three-time All Star (1967, 1971, 1972) and the first Cubs pitcher to win the Cy Young Award, Jenkins is one of only 16 pitchers to have logged over 3,000 strikeouts. While with the Cubs, he played off-season basketball as a member of the Harlem Globetrotters.
