Tal & Reed Latin/Jazz Duo
The band consists of two experienced musicians, who are comfortable playing various styles including Swing, Bossa-Nova and Latin.
Tal Shalom-Kobi, a native of Israel, is a Bass player and a music educator, who has been active in the world of music for the past 20 years. Tal holds a degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music, and Masters in Jazz Performance from New England Conservatory. Tal has performed in Jazz Festivals overseas and locally in venues like Berklee Performance Center, Ryles Jazz Club, and Jordan Hall among others.
Together with her performance career she stayed active in the field of education, teaching Piano and youth ensemble groups in her home studio in Newton.

Pianist and Vocalist, Reed Cournoyer performs material from the Jazz tradition and the American songbook. He plays solo as well as in various ensemble settings. Reed began his professional music career in the 1970s while studying music at George Peabody College and later at Berklee College of Music. Since then, he has worked in diverse musical styles including Jazz, Musical Theater, Cabaret, and R&B. Although busy most weekends playing at private functions, Reed also performs at clubs, restaurants, and performance venues in the greater Boston area.

Checks to be made out to FRANKLIN PTO. We will be at Franklin Elementary on Wednesdays (March 13, 20 and 27) at dismissal time to distribute winner’s items and collect payment. Individual arrangements will be made for winners outside of Franklin Elementary and/or who need to charge on their credit card. Winner pays for any shipping required, at USPS First Class rates.
