Description

You are bidding on a case, four 6-packs, of Lagunitas Censored Copper Ale

Family: Pale Ale  Style: American Amber Ale

Packaging: 12oz/355ml bottle

Characteristics: bitter, malty, hoppy

Overview: The unsubantiated story about this beer's name that floats around is that the original name was inspired by the resinous hop aroma of the beer, which remined the brewers of a certain smokable herb. The name didn't fly with government regulators, and thus, "Censored."

Flavors and aromas: Despite the supposed originas of the beer's name, we found the nose to be on the fruity side of the citrus spectrum (one taster noted pineapple) rather than the sappy side. The medium-full body of this beer has pronounced caramel character, and the bitterness is apparent but la slightly behind the malt.
