About Bridget Designs

Welcome to Bridget Designs. I was born and raised near Durban, South Africa. At the age of 18 I moved to London to pursue my dream of traveling. I worked and traveled throughout Europe for two years. It was on a trip to Greece that I met my future husband Brian who is from San Diego. We have been married for over 13 years and have a beautiful daughter. I love living in San Diego and call it home.

 In 2003, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. While undergoing treatment I began making jewelry as gifts for nurses, friends and family as a way to thank them for their support. Inspired by their response I continued creating more designs. Soon I was being asked to make custom pieces as gifts for birthdays and special occasions. Thereafter my hobby became my profession. I enjoy making simple, meaningful pieces that people can cherish and wear year round. I hope you enjoy wearing my pieces as much as I enjoyed creating them.
