Come discover the theater that the Wall Street Journal calls "The most consistently excellent theater company in America" - located in our backyard - at the University of Chicago's Court Theater. The Court theater is the professional theatre on the campus at the University of Chicago campus that lives up to it's mission to create innovative productions of classical plays that are thought provoking, character-driven, and thematically enduring. This package includes a pair of tickets to all three of the remaining plays in the 2012-2013 season:
- Proof (March 7-April 7) This Pulitzer prize-winning play set in Hyde Park follows the tale of genius mathematician and University of Chicago professor struggling with mental illness, and his brilliant yet emotionally fragile daughter trying to pick up the pieces of her life. As she struggles to find herself she is forced to face the possibility of inheriting both her father's creative genius and his terrifying mental illness.
- The Misanthrope (May 9-June 9) The classic Molire play that explores the society where social graces reign supreme and Alceste causes a scandal when he refuses to play his part in the charade - and must decide his destiny.
- Tartuffe (June 20-July 14) A devilish comedy about the art of deception and the price of misplaced faith, Molieres Tartuffe reveals a tale as outrageous as it is insightful.
