During this exam, Dr. Knarr will discuss any problems that your pet may be having or is undergoing treatment for at the time of the exam. She will than discuss how the acupuncture works and what it will treat and the areas that she is inserting the needles and how they will work on your pet. A small TENS unit is used for the electro acupuncture, which stimulates the acupuncture points. Usually treatment is for 15-20 minutes. Treatment on affected areas with the cold laser will also assist in providing pain relief if needed. The sample bag will have cat and dog treats in it from our Food Therapy selection of products.
