Inspiration: “I love botanical illustrations, especially
ones found in old botany books. The chair, as a piece
of outdoor/garden furniture, seemed the perfect
canvas for color sketches of some of my favorite
flowers and trees.”

About the artist: Terri Sheldon Merrill is a graphic designer with a background in illustration. She has been married
to Gary Merrill for over 30 years, has an adult son,
and lives in Gladstone, Missouri. Terri says she likes
nothing better than to be (in an Adirondack chair)
surrounded by flora and fauna with a sketchbook or
camera in hand! Bliss!
