Description

This portrait image was originally painted by Knud Larsen Bergslien in 1869. Its title is "Skiing Birch Legs Crossing the Mountain with Royal Child."

This artwork was a collaboration between two Wisconsin artists.  We wanted to offer an art piece that not only came from the North Woods of Wisconsin but represented the area's most famous skiing event - "The Birkie."  Art like this keeps the story alive.

Cutting and preparation of the wood substrate by logger Teddy Desrosiers and acrylic painting by Tracy Taylor.  Includes stand and Birkebeiner book by autographed by author Jeff Foltz.

This is a Live Event Item.
