Northwoods forests are lush and alive, with brilliant colors along this stream feeding into a northwestern bay of Lake Owen.  The scene was captured by Tom Kelly during a brief shore leave while photographing Lake Owen scenes for a book and calendar. The scene is brought more to life through the use of High Dynamic Range technique, or HDR, allowing all of the myriad light levels and colors to take on real life.
