About the Artist
University. Meilichson now divides his time between Israel and New York and travels a great deal each year to Norway, Paris and Provence where he gains much of his inspiration from the local people.
His imagery is from a World of imaginary and playful characters immersed with a sense of wonderment and Glee. He uses a blend of exotic and bold colors, leaning towards the influence of the Fauves, primarily Matisse and Chagall. Alex has exhibited in Caracas, Venezuela. He has appeared at Art Expo, New York and held a one-person exhibition at the Moshe Monson Gallery in Jerusalem.
