About the Artist
A World Traveler, Cha' creates his originals on site. His interpretation casts a mood of "a moment in time" when life was peaceful and serene. Over one hundred portraits of famous people are to his credit, including the official portrait of Sir Winston Churchill (displayed in Haberdasher's Hall England,) and the Prime Minister of Thailand, to name a two.
Born in 1946, Cha' grew up to attend the National Art Institute in Seoule Korea. Upon graduating wit honors in 1967, he pursued a career in fine portrait and landscape art. His works were first exhibited in the United States in 1968. Private collectors were enchanted with the softness and vibrance of his palette. Due to his great sucess, and demand for his paintings, Cha' moved to the United States in 1978.
To own a Cha' is to experience his jouney. Cha' says, "In my work, I strive to let my inner soul speak on the canvas, revealing beauty, warmth and gentleness, yet strength and power."
