About the Artist


British artist Graham Ward was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in 1955 and raised in Sussex.Ward has a bachelor's in fine art and illustration and a master's in British art history. As a freelancer in the '80s, Ward worked for British and United States publishers such as Penguin, Picador, and Random House and for magazines GQ and The Sunday Times. He returned to painting in the late '80s and exhibited his work in London, Edinburgh, and Germany. In 1994, he joined the Portal Gallery, in London, and is also represented in Norfolk and Cornwall.
