About the Artist
Art has always been a passion for Marcia Baldwin. From an early age she knew that art would be one of the most important parts of her life and her goal was to learn as much about art as possible.
After years of working in and around art, making a living as an advertising designer, art teacher, art consultant, photographic artisan and many other niches, she finally opened her own art studio which she dedicated solely to fine art.
Marcia received a BFA and an MFA in the seventies and eighties, respectively and now lives and works on the shores of a lake surrounded by huge pine trees and stately southern live oaks. She feels it is a blessing that she has the ability to work in an art studio in the middle of so much natural beauty. Her favorite medium is oil painting and she loves to paint animals, flowers and nature itself.
Marcia says she was "given a talent by God to share his beauty about the world through the use of paint on canvas".
