A 45-minute to one-hour ride on the Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey airship for two to three people.
Did you know there are more astronauts in the world than airship pilots? There are currently only 20 airships in operation in the entire world!
The Horizon airship can accommodate two to three passengers, depending on the size of each individual and weather conditions. There is no minimum age to ride. Parents should use their best judgment in deciding if a child will be comfortable seated in the gondola for up to an hour.
Your ride will depart from one of three airports in New Jersey:
- Solberg Airport in Hunterdon County
- Allaire Airport in Monmouth County
- Woodbine Airport in Cape May County
The Horizon BCBSNJ Blimp is 132 feet long, 44 feet wide and 37 feet tall. That's about as tall as a three-story building and 1/3 the length of a football field. It is filled with more than 65,000 cubic feet of helium!
