Johnny Rawls, a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, arranger and producer, has been highly recognized by the industry and fans alike. He’s been on the cover of Living Blues Magazine, received the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Album of the Year three times, and has been the recipient of many nominations and awards, including Best Soul Blues Album from the Blues Foundation. Just announced for 2013- another two Soul Blues nominations. This is the equivalent of a grammy. (but better if you’re a blues fan).

Rawls is the reigning master of soul blues, one of the few originals still alive. He was honored recently with a Blues Trail Marker at the original site of the Hi Hat Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He tours worldwide, Europe, Japan and Australia to the U.S. Rawls is enjoying a resurgence in popularity with the renewed interest in soul music helped along by popular artists such as Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse. Come hear why The Charlotte Observer called Rawls a “Mississippi soul-blues man who wows crowds with his smoldering vocals and guitar style.”
