Description

Do you want an original piece for a wedding, a birthday, a concert, a church service, a funeral, a voice recital?  Here is a very special item that is truly unique: composer Paul Rudoi (ABS '00) will write a piece for you of up to 6 minutes in length.  


Instrumentation:




  • Art Song (a cappella voice / voice and piano / voice, piano, and other obbligato instrument)

  • Mixed, Women's, or Men's Choral (a cappella / choir and piano or organ / choir, piano or organ, and other obbligato instrument / choir and small instrumental ensemble including piano trio, string trio, string quartet, wind quintet, or brass quartet)

  • Instrumental work for small ensemble of 3-5 instruments (piano, string, wind, or brass trio-quintet or other combination of these instruments)



Poetry or prose, original or public domain texts only (A good resource for public domain texts is http://www.csun.edu/science/ref/reference/public_domain_text.html, particularly Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/).  Paul also has a variety of texts he is interested in setting currently but hasn't had the impetus.  He could speak about those with the winning bidder as well.

Special Instructions

The copyright of the resulting work will remain with Paul, but the dedication and commission information to be included in the octavo will be at the discretion of the winning bidder.  In addition, a number of signed scores will be sent to the bidder when the work is completed.
