Experience the Adirondack Museum

Something special happens every day! Twenty-two exhibits, historic buildings, outstanding collections, marvelous gardens, and pristine views tell the stories of life, work, and play in a special place --- the Adirondack Park of northern New York State.

The Adirondack Museum shares the stories of the Adirondacks — tales of work, play, creativity, and community — through research, collections, and classes. Whether you are a scholar, a fourth grade teacher, or simply a person with a love of history we invite you to discover the breadth of our resources and learn more about the Adirondack region.

Exhibits

Exhibits at the Adirondack Museum explore outdoor recreation, boats and boating, transportation, the fine arts, work and industry, tourism, and community life.

Events

Whether you are tapping your toes to fiddle music, taking notes at a lecture, or caught up in the work of a demonstrator, special events and exceptional programs at the museum will surround you with the history of the Adirondacks.
