This decoy, a hooded merganser, was carved by R. Connolly between 1991 and 1993.  This decoy is hand-signed and in good condition.

Since 1980, Rich Connolly has been handcrafting Antique Replica duck, swan and shorebird carvings.  All of his carvings are done using old time methods of decoy carving. Each piece is hand painted, and then antiqued to give the piecea vintage look. These are true replicas of antique "working" decoys used by hunters over 100 years ago.
