"Logging on the River" On April 12, 2002 Vicksburg unveiled it's first riverfront mural by renowned artist, Robert Dafford. The electricity of this project spread across the South and up and down the Mississippi River. The panels of the Vicksburg floodwall are the canvas capturing Vicksburg's crucial past, present and future roles in American history, commerce, culture, religion and technology.
"Vicksburg" contains images of soldier and horse in civil War battle, the Old Courthouse museum, vintage stores on Washington Street, the National Military Park archway, original lookout tower and monument, a bed and breakfast and of course a Magnolia.
