As part of the PS11 Young Artists Program, The Grid Project artists worked with acrylic paint to create several individual works of art each week based on a specific theme. We explored various subjects including letters, numbers, symbols, graphics and abstracts. We also mixed things up a couple weeks and had all 6 artists paint on each others artwork. In this 36 piece grid each artist painted on every individual piece, taking collaboration to a whole different level. Each artist also played a part in naming the piece by contributing a word that came to mind when viewing the artwork, thus a 6 word title. And of course, the piece is signed by the 6 artists.
