As part of the PS11 Young Artists Program, The Grid Project artists worked with acrylic paint to create several individual works of art each week based on a specific theme. We explored various subjects including letters, numbers, symbols, graphics and abstracts. At the end of the painting portion of this project, each artist contributed their own individual artworks for a large collaborative grid; 6 artists donated 6 artworks each creating a large collaborative 36 piece grid artwork. Each artist also played a part in naming the piece by contributing a word that came to mind when viewing the artwork, thus a 6 word title. And of course, the piece is signed by the 6 artists. The
