From its earliest beginnings nearly 2000 years ago, martial arts has been steeped in tradition. Nowhere will you feel that sense of rich history than at a USSD studio. Since 1968, our students have studied the unique USSD system of Kempo-style martial arts from the finest instructors in the United States. Under the tutelage and continued guidance of Professor Charles Mattera, our students have also learned the value of honor, trust and loyalty–qualities that influence every aspect of their lives. Today, USSD continues with the traditions that have made us “America’s Self Defense Leader”.
