Jonah Fairchild is a 17-year-old high school senior who feels all alone in the world. His parents died when he was seven, his sister lives in New Orleans   and his brother has been missing since he ran away from juvenile detention.  When his grandmother dies, he inherits Chimneys—a long abandoned mansion on the Gold Coast of Long Island, complete with ghosts.
