This beautifully carved wooden scroll depicts (in great detail) scenes from the life of Krishna. Each scene tells a story from the Puranas (ancient Hindu scriptures) from the life of Krishna.

For example, one of the scenes depicts Krishna's victory over the demon of ignorance (of which there are several). Another scene shows Krishna and his brother Balarama plowing the soil for the first time.
